5 Tips for After Your Massage!

If you are like me then you appreciate the benefits of a relaxing massage. Here are five tips about what you should do after your massage:

Drink plenty of water. The body needs to rehydrate during the 24 hours following a massage so drinking plenty of water is essential.
Have a bath. Relaxing in a warm bath is an excellent way of extending the therapy. Make sure it is warm, though, not hot or you will lose the benefit.
Study how your body reacts. Pay close attention to the reactions of your body after a massage. Feeling sore, for example, is perfectly normal for a Deep Tissue massage. It is after all a form of exercise.
Take it easy. It is natural to feel tired after a massage. Remember to listen to your body and rest up. Take a nap if you feel like it.
Embrace your emotions. If you have been experiencing stress, a massage may release the tension and you might even want to cry. Do so. Alternatively you might feel energised and raring to go. Either reaction is totally normal. Embrace your emotions and let the feelings flow.
