Learning the Lessons of Chinese Face Mapping!

It was back to the classroom for me recently as I learned about the ancient Chinese diagnosis method of face mapping.

I was glad to be invited as the course was limited to just Dermalogica’s team of Expert Therapists

It was held at their Training Centre in Exeter and the course was delivered by representatives of the International Dermal Institute.

Briefly put, the theory is that parts of our bodies interconnect with each other in all sorts of ways.  Chinese Face Mapping assumes that symptoms that show up on our skin, the largest organ our body possesses, are indicative of other internal problems.

Pimples, rashes and changes of skin tone and colour are the symptoms to look for.  The area of the skin affected is believed to be related to the different organs of the body.

For example, the forehead is believed to be linked with digestion, the upper part to the bladder and the lower to the intestines.  Skin problems in these areas may indicate poor diet, excessive alcohol consumption or lack of sleep.

All in all it was a fascinating day.  I am pleased to be able to offer the Chinese method as another of my holistic therapies.
