Less is more as tweaks replace tucks!

The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (BAAPS) has reported that the number of cosmetic surgery operations fell by 9% in the last year. Breast augmentation, the most popular procedure, fell by 25% to 8,609 operations, whilst nose jobs and tummy tucks fell by 20%.

However, while these major treatments have seen a dramatic fall, there has been a significant rise in the more subtle treatments, which BAAPS term tweaks not tucks. These include face lifts, eyelid surgery and breast reductions, with the latter up 3%.

So what treatments can you get locally? Therapy by Sam Baggott offer a variety of subtle treatments, including CACI treatments which have been described as non-surgical facelifts. Three of their most popular treatments are:

• CACI Non-Surgical Facelift – this involves minute electrical impulses that lift and tone the facial muscles. This will improve the elasticity of the skin and also reduce fine lines and wrinkles. The treatment usually takes an hour at a cost of £45.00.

• Super CACI Non-Surgical Facelift – a more intense version of the first treatment, this takes an hour and fifteen minutes with the extra 15 minutes aimed specifically at any areas of muscle laxity. This treatment is especially useful for mature skin types and those with specific concerns and costs £55.00.

• CACI Eyelift – a treatment to lift and firm the muscles around the eye area, especially where eyebrows tend to lose their definition as we age. It will also smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Cost for a 30 to 45 minute session is £30.00.

Discounts for all these treatments are available when booking courses of ten treatments.
